What happens between the books?
Alexis Ravelo library has reasons to go out this October: an artist’s story, theatre by D’hoy Teatro and a session about Carmen Laforet. All three events are free, subject to capacity. The library is inside Espacio Cultural Jesús Arencibia in Tamaraceite, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
14 October: an artist’s life
From 18:00 to 19:30, Una artista en su tiempo explores an artistic career through works, writings and a family archive. The listing names Pino Suárez Navarro and Susana Reixa. The scheduled ninety-minute session makes this a manageable afternoon outing.
15 October: Lorca beyond the usual stage
From 19:00 to 20:00, D’hoy Teatro presents Bodas de sangre, a travelling theatre piece inspired by Federico García Lorca. The city describes a performance that meets its audience outside a conventional stage.
21 October: Carmen Laforet
From 18:00 to 19:00, ¿Por qué no escribo nada? focuses on Carmen Laforet. The municipal listing names Isabel Fernández and Elsa López. We are not describing this as a full film screening: the published slot lasts one hour.
Before you go
All times are Canary Islands time. Free entry does not guarantee a place: check the official listings for changes and allow time to arrive. Our library guide below covers other practical questions. QEDA does not organise these activities. Our community starts in Las Palmas: create a profile and use QEDA free forever.
