Free to use, not just free to join
Creating a profile is free, and the promise goes further than that. Meeting people and chatting on QEDA will also be free. There are no subscriptions, no payments to make your profile more visible and no bank card to add when you register. Advertising and optional contributions help keep the project running.
A nearby community comes first
We are starting with adults aged 18 and over who live in or regularly spend time in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Being nearby matters when the aim is to meet in person. Tenerife and other island communities are part of the future plans, but they do not have an opening date yet.
When you can get started
At the time of publication, you can already create an account, confirm your email and submit your profile for review. Profiles and messaging are due to open on 1 November 2026, or earlier if we reach 1,000 approved local profiles. Check the homepage counter for the current status. Until the community opens, only you and the moderation team can see your profile.
Being able to talk also means being able to choose
Once the community opens, you will be able to send a short introduction. The recipient decides whether to accept it and start a conversation. There are daily limits on introduction requests. A free app does not oblige anyone to reply. You can block or report an account if you need to.
Review is not a guarantee
We review profiles and photos before they become visible, but that review and email confirmation do not verify someone’s identity or intentions. Take your time getting to know them. Optional contributions do not buy approval, priority or extra access.
